Studying Philosophy at UZH

The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy is a renowed online encyclopedia for philosophers. Written in English, the articles are authored by experts and are a great way to start of your research! The articles are published open-access, meaning everyone can read them. This website offers a visualisation of the online encyklopedia by portraying similar articles in a network.
The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy is another open-access, online encyclopedia for philosophy, written in English.
philpapers is a extensive overview of philosophical research literature. Related to it is  philpeople, a sort of social media for philosophers.
If you are looking for resources in Switzerland's scientific libraries, we recommend swisscovery. The national library plattform combines information from 470 Swiss libraries (as per 15.02.21). A lot of resources can be viewed online, as long as you are conecting to the internet over a participating institution like the University of Zurich. Using a VPN, you can also view online resources from home.
The Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy is another excellent online encyclopedia in English. Not all articles are open-access, so you need to use the university's network or the VPN from home. 
On Oxford Bibliographiesyou can find lists or literature references, commentated in great detail, on many topics! That way, you get a great overview of the relevant literature on a few pages. To use the service for free requires a connection with the UZH-network or the VPN.
The online journal Philosophy Compass publishes survey articles of philosophical debates on a monthly basis.
JSTOR is a huge online archive for all sorts of scientific journals. If you are looking for an article, more likely than not, JSTOR will have it. Once again, you need to connect with the UZH-network or the VPN to use it.
